I know, I know. We all know what PKU is. Still, I made a video explaining it a bit. If you follow me at all, you know Im a bit of a goof ball- but If you want to share the link its here:
Jut to clear things up for viewers, though...Sweet n Low is fine, as is Splenda, Stevia, etc. etc. It's just artificial sweeteners with aspartame (like Equal) that are harmful.
My little one has HyperPHE, so the changes for us weren't as drastic - he's allowed 13 grams of protein a day. But your video is wonderful - I hope it's okay if I post a link to it on my blog. I loved the Fruity Pebbles bit because I find myself doing stuff like that all the time - step aside whole wheat bread - welcome cheap fluffy refined flour white bread!
Hello Michelle, i'd like to thank you for your wonderful video, i published it in my blog, and i think it's very clear and real. I'm a portuguese mother of a PKU child with 6 months only, and i like to ask you the references of the book you presents in your video. Here in Portugal,we have almost no edits about PKU and i'm very curious to read and learn more about it. Thank you and I apologize for my audacity. A big hug

Thank you!!
We are in the process of adopting a PKU kiddo and yours is the silliest, yet clearest, explanation of what it is all about. Thanks!
Love this! Smart and funny!
